This York Security standard duty tubular latch is the everyday latch for internal doors that do not need locking from either side. It is lightly sprung, so it is designed to work with handles that have their own return spring, such as sprung lever handles and sprung mortice knobs, keeping the action smooth rather than stiff. The 2 1/2" size is the usual choice behind sprung lever handles on backplate or rose.

Finish

The faceplate is supplied in a combined polished chrome and polished nickel finish, chosen to sit comfortably with either polished chrome or polished nickel door handles. Wipe with a soft cloth to remove fingerprints and water marks. The finish is applied to the visible faceplate and strike; the colour of the lock case itself may vary.
