Heritage Brass interior letter flaps fit on the inside of the door behind the letter plate. The flap covers the letterbox opening to cut draughts and noise, and gives a neat finish inside. Part of the Heritage Brass letter plates and covers range.

Which Flap Fits Which Letter Plate

V860 280 (280 x 83mm): letter plates up to 10 inch, including the 10 x 3, 10 x 4 and 8 x 3 plates
V860 299 (299 x 83mm): letter plates up to 12 inch, including the 11 inch gravity plates and the 12 x 4 letter plate
V860 403 (400 x 100mm): the 13, 14 and 16 inch large letter plates

Letter Flap Finishes

Made in antique brass, satin brass, polished brass, matt bronze, polished chrome, satin chrome, satin nickel and polished nickel, with matt black in the 280 and 299 sizes. There is no unlacquered brass flap, so we suggest polished brass behind an unlacquered letter plate.

Letter Flap Questions

Which letter flap do I need?
Choose by the width of your letter plate: the V860 280 for plates up to 10 inch, the V860 299 for plates up to 12 inch, and the V860 403 for 13 to 16 inch plates.

Do I need an interior letter flap?
It is optional, but a flap on the inside of the door covers the letter box opening, cuts draughts and noise, and gives a neat finish inside.

Is there an unlacquered brass letter flap?
No. For an unlacquered brass letter plate we suggest the polished brass flap, as it sits on the inside of the door.
