The 10 x 3 inch letter plate is the standard size for a house front door and the one most people need. It takes everyday letters and cards and fits the middle rail of most timber doors.

• V850 10 x 3 inch letter plate - 254 x 79mm, aperture 188 x 42mm, fixing centres 219mm. Made in antique brass, satin brass, polished brass, matt bronze, polished chrome, satin chrome, satin nickel and polished nickel, plus matt black and unlacquered brass
• V830 postal knocker letter plate - the same 10 x 3 size with a built-in door knocker, also in our letterbox knockers

Choosing and Fitting a Letter Plate

For most houses a 10 x 3 inch letter plate is the standard choice. Choose a 12 x 4 inch plate for larger doors, offices, or if you get newspapers, magazines and lots of large envelopes.
