Locking Window Handles and Fasteners in Solid Brass

Heritage Brass lockable window furniture lets you add a key-locking handle or fastener to casement, sash and espagnolette windows without losing the traditional look of solid brass. Heritage Brass is the solid brass range from M.Marcus, the Dudley based British hardware manufacturer established in 1940. Every item in this collection is supplied with a key.

Lockable fittings by window type

• Casement - V894L reeded, V1008L ball and V1005 / V1005W wedge pattern lockable casement fasteners
• Sash - V1104L and V1106L lockable hook plate sash fasteners and V2060L lockable Fitch pattern fastener
• Espagnolette - V1006L, V895L reeded and V1009L ball lockable espag handles, left and right hand

A note on security

A lockable handle stops a window being opened from inside without the key, which is useful for child safety and for ground floor windows. Decorative lockable fittings are not insurance-rated window locks, so for higher security add sash stops or a dedicated window lock as well - see Heritage Brass sash stops.

Most of the range is available in eight Heritage Brass finishes: Antique Brass, Satin Brass, Polished Brass, Polished Nickel, Satin Nickel, Polished Chrome, Satin Chrome and Matt Bronze.
