This York Security architectural heavy duty tubular latch has a strong spring that does the work of returning the handle to rest. That makes it the right latch for unsprung lever handles, unsprung mortice knobs and heavy lever handles that droop on a lightly sprung latch. The 2 1/2" size is recommended for lever handles. Note that this length does not take bolt through fixing, so use it with lever handles that screw-fix to the door.

Finish

Antique brass is an aged finish with darker bronze tones and brighter brass highlights, sealed with a clear protective lacquer. It is chosen to match the antique brass door handles, knobs and hinges in the M.Marcus range. Antique finishes vary slightly in tone from piece to piece, which is a characteristic of the finish rather than a fault. The finish is applied to the visible faceplate and strike; the colour of the lock case itself may vary.
