This York Security architectural heavy duty tubular latch has a strong spring that does the work of returning the handle to rest. That makes it the right latch for unsprung lever handles, unsprung mortice knobs and heavy lever handles that droop on a lightly sprung latch. At 5" this is the longest latch in the range, used where the handle needs to sit well in from the edge, for example on wide-stile hardwood doors or large centre-style knobs.

Finish

The faceplate is supplied in a combined satin chrome and satin nickel finish, so it works with either brushed chrome or brushed nickel door handles. Wipe with a soft, non-abrasive cloth to keep it clean. The finish is applied to the visible faceplate and strike; the colour of the lock case itself may vary.
