From The Anvil Beeswax Window Handles

Hand-Forged Beeswax Window Furniture

Beeswax is From The Anvil's most traditional finish, hand forged from mild steel with natural blue and red ochre tones preserved by dipping it in hot beeswax. It suits cottages, older homes and oak frames. External Beeswax looks the same but uses an anti-corrosive beeswax.

The range covers casement stays, casement fasteners, espagnolette handles, sash window fasteners, sash lifts and locking sash stops, so you can finish every casement and sash window in one look.

Beeswax Window Handles: Questions

How do I look after beeswax window furniture?

A Beeswax finish may show a white bloom when first unpacked, which buffs off with a soft cloth. From The Anvil recommends re-applying a little of its Maintenance Wax from time to time.

Will the window furniture match my door handles?

Yes. Most From The Anvil window designs, such as Avon, Brompton, Newbury, Reeded, Hinton and Monkeytail, are made to match the door handles, knobs and cabinet hardware in the same range and finish.

Trade Door Handles is part of T.H. Wiggans Ironmongery, an independent architectural ironmonger trading since 1976. We have stocked From The Anvil for decades, and both our T.H. Wiggans showroom in Kendal and our Trade Door Handles showroom in Carlisle have From The Anvil displays, so you can see the finishes before you order.
