Heritage Brass - Polished Nickel

Polished Nickel Door Handles, Kitchen Handles and Ironmongery

Heritage Brass polished nickel is a living finish: nickel plating on highly polished brass, giving a bright shine with a gentle golden undertone that is warmer and softer than polished chrome. M.Marcus makes it across Heritage Brass door handles, door knobs, door furniture, window furniture, kitchen and cabinet hardware, hinges and accessories, so you can fit polished nickel lever handles, hinges, window fasteners, cupboard handles and coat hooks that all match. It suits period and classic homes, Shaker and painted kitchens, and bathrooms with nickel taps and fittings.

Polished Nickel or Polished Chrome?

Both are bright, reflective finishes. Polished nickel has a warmer tone with a hint of gold, while polished chrome is cooler and bluer. If you are matching existing hardware, choose the same finish throughout, as the two look different side by side. Compare with Heritage Brass polished chrome, or for a brushed, low sheen nickel look, see Heritage Brass satin nickel.

Polished Nickel, a Living Finish

The nickel finish is not coated, so it will oxidise naturally. Buff it regularly with a soft cloth to keep the bright shine. If it is not regularly buffed, the nickel plate will subtly change over time, taking on an aged patina that suits period doors and furniture.

Polished Nickel Door Handles and Door Furniture

Shop all polished nickel door handles and knobs, including door handles on backplates and polished nickel door handles on rose. Add matching bathroom thumb turns, escutcheons, door stops and flush pulls for sliding doors. For the front door, see polished nickel door knockers, letter plates, centre door knobs and house numbers and letters, or browse all polished nickel door furniture.

Polished Nickel Kitchen and Cabinet Handles

Polished nickel kitchen handles bring a warm shine to Shaker, painted and classic kitchens. Choose from polished nickel cabinet and drawer pull handles, polished nickel cupboard knobs, cup handles and edge pulls, or see all polished nickel kitchen and cabinet hardware.

Both are bright, reflective finishes. Polished nickel is warmer, with a hint of gold, while polished chrome is cooler and bluer, so choose one finish throughout for the best match.

Buff them regularly with a soft cloth. This keeps the nickel bright and stops it taking on an aged patina.
