Heritage Brass Unlacquered Brass Letter Plates

Unlacquered Brass Letter Plates That Age Naturally

Every product here is a Heritage Brass letter plate or interior letter flap by M.Marcus in unlacquered brass, raw solid brass with no lacquer, which darkens and develops a natural patina outdoors, or can be polished back to bright gold. Each is cast in solid brass for a letter box that will last for years on a timber front door.

Sizes in Unlacquered Brass

• 10 x 3 inch letter plate
• 10 x 4 inch letter plate
• 10 x 4 inch reeded letter plate
• 11 x 3 inch curved gravity letter plate
• 12 x 4 inch letter plate

The interior letter flaps are not made in unlacquered brass, so we suggest the polished brass flap on the inside of the door.

Match the Rest of the Door

Pair your letter plate with an unlacquered brass door knocker, unlacquered brass centre door knob and unlacquered brass house numbers in the same finish, and see all unlacquered brass door furniture.

Choosing and Fitting a Letter Plate

For most houses a 10 x 3 inch letter plate is the standard choice. Choose a 12 x 4 inch plate for larger doors, offices, or if you get newspapers, magazines and lots of large envelopes. Heritage Brass letter plates are made for timber doors and bolt through the door, and an interior letter flap on the inside stops draughts. Our letter plates guide covers sizes and fitting in more detail.
