Heritage Brass Casement Window Accessories

Window Stay Pins and Stay Locks for Casement Windows

Heritage Brass casement window accessories are the solid brass pins that a casement stay drops onto, in matching finishes to your casement stays and casement fasteners. Part of the Heritage Brass casement window furniture range.

Choose Your Stay Pin

  • Cranked casement stay pin (V1002): an offset pin, about 40mm long, for windows where the sash finishes flush with the frame and there is nowhere to fit a standard stay pin.
  • Casement stay locking pin (V1007): about 39mm long, with a key lock that holds the stay in place so the window cannot be opened further. See casement stay locking pins.

Locking a Window Stay

A locking stay pin is a simple window stay lock. Set the window slightly open for ventilation, lock the stay onto the pin, and the window cannot be pushed open any further. M.Marcus notes it is not a security rated lock. For key locking handles, see lockable casement fasteners or all lockable window furniture.

Stay Pin Questions

What is a cranked casement stay pin?
A cranked stay pin is offset so it can be used when the window sash finishes flush with the frame and there is nowhere to fit a standard stay pin.

How does a casement stay locking pin work?
It replaces a standard stay pin. Once the stay is over the pin, turn the key to lock it, holding the window shut or at a fixed opening until you unlock it.

Will the pin match my casement stay?
Yes. The stay pins are made in the same Heritage Brass finishes as the casement stays and fasteners, so choose the same finish as the rest of the window.
